  • Where is the Ribfest site?

    Halifax Ribfest is located on the Halifax waterfront at 1521 Lower Water Street.

  • Can I bring my dog or other pets?

    Unfortunately for health and safety reasons pets are not allowed. On duty service dogs are welcome.
  • What is the cost of admission?

    Admission to Halifax Ribfest is FREE
  • Do vendors accept credit or bank cards?

    No, but there are ATMs on site.
  • What other kinds of foods are available in addition to pork ribs? What about gluten free options?

    Along with pork ribs our vendors will serve beef ribs, chicken, corn, french fries, kettle corn, pizza, ice cream, and much more. Yes, there are gluten free options. (Silver Bullet is the preferred rib truck for gluten free options.)
  • What are the prices for ribs?

    $23 for a full rack, $14 for a half rack, $9.00 for a third rack. (Prices may vary by Ribber)
  • Are children allowed in?

    ABSOLUTELY…this is a family event! Please note that all minors must be accompanied by an adult.

    Only those 19+ permitted on site after 9pm
    Only individuals age 19 and over with proper identification will be allowed to consume alcohol at Halifax Ribfest

  • What are the hours of operation?

    Friday, June 30th 11am – 11pm

    Saturday, July 1st 11am – 11pm

    Sunday, July 2nd 11am – 11pm

    Monday, July 3rd 11am – 7pm

  • How do I volunteer?

    Contact volunteer@ribfesthalifax.ca and we would be pleased to have your help. Many hands make for light work!

    Hey, we’re in Halifax. Rain happens and we will be serving ribs regardless of the weather. (Plus, we have a big tent.)
